An object cannot become a design icon until it has stood the test of time and appears quite naturally in different settings, giving it a symbolic aura of its own. FlowerPot is just that. The famous lamp, designed in 1969, was named after the happy days of Flower Power.

Of the lamps he designed from that period, FlowerPot and Topan stand out as some of the simplest and most memorable designs. We have now re-created those lamps at Unique Interieur.

At the end of the sixties, Verner Panton created a series of lamps for his exhibitions and restaurants. Each was based on simple spherical lines. The most famous lamp turned out to be the small pendant called FlowerPot, named after the era of 'Flowerpower'.

Verner Panton was one of the most avant-garde designers of the 20th century. His era marked a time when danish design was recognized internationally to represent the mood of the new postwar age With great help from Verner Panton's wife Marianne Panton we have recreated a table lamp from Pantons sketches

In 1964 Verner Panton designed a series of vases and candleholders in the geometric shapes of a pentagonal dodecahedron.

Rejected ideas are screwed up and chucked in the bin. But, for Verner Panton that meant that the screwed up paper was left on the table and reappeared as a design for a dish. It is a question of seeing the possibilities and that's just what Verner Panton did.

Many of his countless designs have just that immediacy - as if they were created a few minutes ago.

Together with Marianne Panton, Unique Interieur have now recreated the beautiful dish in glass, which her husband had created through discarded paper in 1988
